From the moment you contact us to report the accident straight through to when your vehicle is repaired or replaced, we'll be there for you.

Safety First

If you are involved in an auto accident, report it immediately so that, together, we can begin to get you back on the road and on with your life. But before we do that, we want to make sure that you are safe. Call 911 or the police for emergency assistance and remain at the scene of the accident until they get there. We understand that you may be shaken up, but if you are able, please gather as much information as you can, including:

  • Photos of the accident scene and vehicles involved
  • Photos of surrounding area and anything that the cars may have come into contact with
  • Insurance and contact information of anyone involved
  • Contact information for witnesses to the accident

What's Next? Information Gathering

Once you submit a claim, you will be assigned a dedicated Claim Examiner who will make every reasonable effort to contact you within six hours. He or she will ask you questions about the accident. Be sure to provide as many details as you can. The more information we have, the better able we will be to adjust your claim. Your Claim Examiner will be your main point-of-contact throughout the life of your claim, working with you to obtain repair estimates, assessing your vehicle for damages, setting you up with a rental car, if needed, and answering any questions you have along the way.

Assessing the Damage: The Estimate

Your Claim Examiner may assign an appraiser to write an estimate to repair your covered vehicle, or you may be asked to obtain an estimate from a local repair shop. If you need assistance getting an estimate, we can refer you to a collision repair shop from our Preferred Vendor Network.  The shop will provide an estimate, and we will review it with you. If, at any time, you have concerns or there are changes to the initial scope of work that we approve, we will go the extra mile to ensure that you are fairly compensated and satisfied with your claim settlement.

Our Chubb Trusted Service Network: Starting Your Repairs

Your Claim Examiner can refer you to a collision repair shop or dealership from our network of service providers or, if you'd feel more comfortable, you can have your car repaired at an auto body shop of your choice. The decision is completely up to you and will not affect your claim or settlement. If you're not sure which way to go, we have highlighted some of the benefits of using our Chubb Trusted Network below:
